Google+ Launches “What’s Hot”

One of the great things about social media and social networking is that participants can stay up to date on the latest happenings around the world.  Social media means faster news, right when you want it.  Google+ today, announced a new feature called “What’s Hot.”  Basically it shows current trending posts. Those posts which are getting the most engagement will be shown in the new “What’s hot,” area of Google+, which can be found in two areas within the user interface.  First you can find the hot posts at the bottom of your stream, and second on the left side bar of the Google+ interface, right above your Google+ Sparks.

Certainly this new feature will allow users to discover breaking news, trending topics, and new interesting people to follow within the social network. The new feature should be rolling out to all users sometime today. Below is a quick video a Google engineer, explaining the new feature:
