Google+ seems to be getting as much attention from the social gaming companies as Facebook now-a-days. The largest social gaming company, Zynga, which is partially owned by Google, has rolled out their sequel to one of their most popular games, Mafia Wars. Mafia Wars 2 has rolled out to both Facebook and Google+ today. Mafia Wars 2 is the 19th game added to the Google+ gaming platform, which launched a couple months ago to the new social network. Chris Houtzer, a Google+ Games employee, posted the following message earlier today:
- “Hey everyone – Today we are launching the newest game from Zynga, Mafia Wars 2, on Google+. Following in the footsteps of the original Mafia Wars, the sequel hands you new turf to own and run. After getting back on your feet, you are soon betrayed and must embark on a mission of revenge to seize control of what’s rightfully yours! Using the people in your circles on Google+, you will need to build up your crew of fellow gangsters to help you complete missions, fight off rivals, and take on major crime bosses. The game includes many different types of weapons, armor and vehicles to give you the best tools for the job. I hope you enjoy this game as much as we have in recent weeks. More great games are coming to Google+. In the mean time, you can play Mafia Wars 2 now. Add me to your circles and let’s get this party started! “
The latest Mafia Wars sequel features better graphics and more functionality than the original game, which launched on Facebook back in April of 2008. Mafia Wars 2 joins both Cityville, and Poker as the two other games on Google+ created by Zynga.
